25 years ago, Agro Technologie launched the Durofel in collaboration with France's Inter-professional Technical
Centre for Fruit and Vegetables. It was an emotional moment for our engineers to create this latest version. It is a
very simple-to-use product using the very latest technology and building on all the top features of its legendary
predecessor.
The AGROSTA®100X consists of a sensor connected to a small main unit fitted with a USB connector. As soon as
it is connected to a Windows PC, laptop or tablet computer, it powers up and communicates immediately with the
computer via a very intuitive interface. The software has a speech function in English, Italian, Spanish and French,
allowing AGROSTA®100X users to concentrate on their measurements without having to look at the screen, as
they can hear each reading in the language of their choice.
The AGROSTA®100X has the same moveable tip as the AGROSTA®100 (previously known as the Durofel DFT
100). It measures the firmness, hardness or softness of fruit, vegetables, foodstuffs and soft materials, using a
firmness scale to reproduce the sensations felt when touching fruit or other materials. Testing is completely non-
destructive, carried out on the surface of the fruit or material to be tested, and the AGROSTA®100X provides
readings on a 0-100 scale. 0 means that the tip is completely extended and 100 that it is completely retracted. The
tip is 2.54 mm (one inch) long and, mounted on a precision spring, it retracts in precise correspondence to the
hardness of the material measured. The sensor tubes are calibrated on test benches certified by the National
Testing Laboratory. They are precise to 30,000 increments over the 2.54 mm, or one step per 0.08 micron.
The AGROSTA®100X is exactly what you need if you are working near a computer, but if you need a portable,
self-powered device, the AGROSTA®100 is the answer, with its rechargeable batteries and 2-line display screen.
The AGROSTA®100X is the instrument of choice for food science laboratories, quality control centres and
wholesale distributors' laboratories. It measures the firmness of plums, olives, cherries, tomatoes, blueberries,
strawberries, raspberries, apricots, peaches, but it doesn't stop there - it also measures fruit in syrup, frozen items,
fish, and cooked and raw meat.

"Settings" Menu” For selecting language, calibrating the instrument and managing
communications between the computer and the sensor tube.
"Measurements" Menu Measurements are taken one after the other with no need to confirm them
or press any buttons. A curve is created showing the sample's results. The software provides the
average and the standard deviation for the sample taken as a whole
"Batch Management" Menu Providing a fully-featured test management system, allowing searches
by name and date and printing of results.
"Graph" Menu With the functionality to draw charts comparing different samples pre-selected in
the Batch Management Menu.

The latest innovation from the creators of the "DUROFEL",
the AGROSTA®100X measures the firmness of soft-skinned
and soft fruit. Controlled and powered from a PC, it stores
and analyses a huge amount of data via its Windows interface.
It is the most technologically advanced instrument on the
market to measure fruit and soft and semi-hard materials.
"Data" Menu Providing access to all the measurements taken in any sample.
